Practice Fees

Tallowwood Health is a mixed-billing General Practice. We believe Medicare Rebates alone are insufficient to cover the costs of providing high-level primary care, and therefore the majority of our standard services attract a private fee. 

Children aged 6-12 and Health Care Concession Card holders are entitled to a reduced, concession fee.  

Children 0-5, DVA Card holders (with eligible conditions), Chronic Disease Management item numbers, and Health Assessments are routinely bulk billed. 

July 1st

Some practice fees will change based on the duration of the service. Short consults (less than 6 minutes) will be $20 cheaper, and long consults (those over 20 minutes) will be $20 more expensive.

All medicare rebates are increasing by 3.5%. This will reduce out-of-pocket expenses for our most common service, the standard 6-19 consult, which will have a higher rebate and the usual price.

September 4th

The Minns Labour Government has extended Payroll Tax to include payments made to independent contracted doctors working in general practice. To cover the cost of this tax, another fee increase will be implemented on September 4th. Click here for more information.
